Alaska newsrooms can send a reporter to cover the Legislature in Juneau for a month, and a UAA journalism student will fill in at the newsroom while the reporter is away.

The Alaska Center for Excellence in Journalism has awarded nearly $45,000 in grants to Alaska news outlets and freelance journalists through its Fall 2023 Alaska Impact Reporting and Alaska Arts Reporting initiatives.
