Senior Voice published a series, ‘Second Act,’ focused on Alaskans who found their artistic passions later in life. The project received a grant from the Alaska Center for Excellence in Journalism in Fall 2025.

Arts Reporting Initiative grantee Rachel Levy published an eight-part series in The Alaska Current featuring printmakers of Southeast Alaska. The final piece was published in June 2026.

Alaska Center for Excellence in Journalism founding member Elizabeth Arnold passed away in June 2026 at the age of 66 from cancer. Her contributions to journalism in Alaska are numerous. She will be missed.
